Toe nail surgery

About the procedure

Ingrown Toe nail surgery

The procedure begins after an initial assessment of the affected nail to discuss the best treatment option. once we have determined that surgery would be the best approach, our podiatrist will schedule a date for the surgery and provide any information you need to know prior to the procedure.

In order to remove the affected nail or portion of the nail the podiatrist will inject some local anaesthetic to numb the area thoroughly.

The troublesome nail or side of the nail is then carefully removed.

A chemical called phenol will then be placed at the base of the nail to prevent any regrowth.
